- Venue: We are delighted to have Young Carers back in person but given the concerns around the current fast spreading variant we are attempting to use our newfound online skills to stream you everything from the day!
The Young Carers’ Conference is an annual event that is co-produced and hosted by the Young Carers Council, which is attended by up to 150 young carers aged 18 and under. This year the conference theme and workshops are based around the theme “This is Real Life”, which was chosen by the young carers council and is incredibly powerful to look at the things young carers can face on a daily basis that are simply the norm for them.
Young carers will be attending 1 of 6 workshops to explore and express how they feel about caring in a creative way as well as a look at what could practically support them as young carers. The workshops are: Cooking; Drumming/Percussion; Under 8s workshop; Art; Up-Cycling and Journaling/Stress busting. Young carers will spend the morning in their workshop and then will present back a bit about what they have been doing and why it is useful in the afternoon to yourselves.

- Attend a presentation on young carers in Hertfordshire
- Hear from the Young Carers Council and other young carers
- Learn more about Young Carers services & what young carers think & feel
