The practice has a mixture of telephone and face to face consultations. There will be a daily capacity for a limited number of emergencies. Patients with an emergency will receive a telephone triage call from a GP and will be offered an appointment or will receive advice as appropriate.
Once the practice has reached its capacity for both pre-booked and emergency consultations, patients will be advised of the other NHS services available such as walk-in centres and urgent care centres, which have been specially commissioned and are available to patients 7 days a week.
To use the online booking system you must be registered to use our online services. If you are not already registered, please visit the surgery and ask the receptionist for a registration form and instructions.
We are able to offer an increased number of on-the-day and 48 hour advance appointments on certain days during the winter months

We offer a mixture of both telephone consultations and face-to-face appointments. Our reception staff may ask you the reason for the appointment so that they may direct you to the best option to meet your needs.
Home visits are available for housebound patients or for patients that are too sick to come to the surgery.
To request a home visit call 01707 291 041 (option 2) before 10am if possible. Home visits are carried out on the day they are requested. You may be visited at home by a community Nurse/Matron if the GP feels that it's appropriate.
Most blood test results come back to the surgery within 48 hours. X-ray and scan results can take up to three weeks to be sent to the surgery. The surgery will not contact you unless a doctor wishes to discuss your results with you.

You can book an appointment for a blood test at the surgery. Phlebotomy clinics run every day of the week except Thursdays.

NHS transport - if medically necessary the NHS will provide hospital transport in the form of car or ambulance for hospital appointments. This can be arranged by telephoning 0333 240 4909.

Hertsmere residents can get Evening & Weekend GP appointments via our special “access hubs” throughout the borough.
If you are registered with a GP and need to see someone outside of normal opening hours, your practice will offer you the next available appointment at one of our GP access hub.
The GP who you have an appointment with will be able to access a summary of medical records with your permission.
