The Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspected Parkfield Medical Centre on 25th May 2016 as part of the routine GP service inspection regime. Parkfield is the first practice in Hertsmere to complete a CQC inspection and is now working to support other practices awaiting imminent inspections.
It was a very long inspection day involving interviews with all staff groups, evidencing adherence to statutory requirements, NHS Guidelines, best practice as well as a physical inspection of the premises. At the end of the inspection the practice received very positive feedback for the five key inspection areas: Patient Safety, Service Effectiveness, Practice Responsiveness, Leadership and Quality of Care.
We were delighted when the final report was published and confirmed that we had been awarded a rating of "good" across all population groups and domains. This rating reflects the hard work, commitment and dedication by all of our doctors, nurses and staff and The Friends of Parkfield Patient Participation Group.
We are very grateful to all our patients who took part in the inspection process and gave the CQC valuable feedback relating to their experience of the practice.
